Join Hilltown land Trust and The Trustees of Reservations for an exciting two part workshop about vernal pools. In Part 1, learn about these amazing wildlife habitats, best known for the amphibians and invertebrate animals that use them each year to breed. We will learn to identify the characteristic species and explore an active vernal pool in Williamsbug, MA.
Part 1: Introduction to Vernal Pool ecology, species identification and citizen scientist training. Come learn what makes these wetlands so amazing and how to identify them. FREE!
