Kestrel Land Trust and Hilltown Land Trust are offering volunteers, friends, and partners a free training workshop. Designed for people who are interested in becoming a volunteer property monitor for either Kestrel or HLT, this workshop introduces techniques for monitoring properties protected by fee or Conservation Restriction (CR). We’ll review the basics of conducting a site visit and get some practice in the field.
Our first training opportunity will be Saturday, March 15, at Arcadia Wildlife Sanctuary in Easthampton
The workshop will run from 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. Coffee, refreshments, and mingling from 9 to 9:30 a.m.
HLT will offer a second workshop in early April if there is significant interest in the hilltowns
Training is free, but advance registration is required. Contact Hannah Chamberlain, AmeriCorps MassLIFT Stewardship Coordinator at hltlandsteward@ttor.org or at (413) 628-4485 ext. 4.
