On Tuesday, October 16th from 12:00 to 2:00 PM, Hilltown Land Trust, in collaboration with Field Memorial Library , Conway’s Council on Aging, and Mass Audubon, invites youthful seniors, along with their friends and family members of all ages, to join us on a hike on the trail in Audubon’s Conway Hills, led by Audubon volunteer educator Connie Parks. This hike will be followed by a warm vegetarian chili lunch and tossed salad served at the Community Room in Conway’s Field Memorial Library.
We will be going on Conway Hills’ ¾-mile trail. True to its name, there are several hills. Its level of difficulty is moderate and our pace will be easy. Wear sturdy boots or shoes with good traction and dress appropriately for the weather. We will meet at noon at the Kiosk across from the Audubon parking sign on Route 116. Sorry, dogs are not invited onto Audubon property.
After the walk we will gather in the Community Room which has been refurbished with bright walls and radiant heat flooring to create a comfortable social space. Participants may contribute to the meal by bringing desserts they are willing to share. This is a free event created to encourage older people to go outdoors where they can enjoy the smells and sights of Conway’s beautiful woods.
For driving directions to Conway Hills, visit Mass Audubon’s website.
